GSC1 - Gas Solenoid Controller
Copyright Mike Rainbow 2005 - 2008
For interlocking and isolating the gas supply in commercial catering kitchens in the event of a ventilation failure to comply with
BS6173 standards.
The controller monitors sensors on one or two extractor/supply fans, as well as emergency stop buttons and switches
a solenoid in the gas supply line on or off depending on the state of the sensors. Five lights on the front of the controller indicate
the current status of the system.
- Microprocessor controlled electronics.
- IP66 polystyrene enclosure (130mm x 130mm x 75mm) with metric knockouts (9 x 20/25mm,
2 x 20mm and 1 x 25/32mm).
- 2 x fan sensor inputs (for no voltage, normally closed contacts from fan air flow sensor or motor current
sensor). Fan 2 can be linked out if not used.
- 1 x External Emergency Stop input (normally closed contacts). Can be linked out if not
used.
- 1 x 230v ac (1000 watt rating) output to control gas solenoid.
- Start button – unit does a self-test on start-up. If all OK,
gas solenoid is activated after 10 seconds.
- If a fan fails, fan indicator on front panel flashes. Gas solenoid is switched off after
30 seconds.
- Stop button – switches gas solenoid off and resets controller.
- 5 x LED indicators – power, fan 1, fan 2, gas on and stop.
- Override facility by holding start button on for 10 seconds.
- Unit is fully programmable by us, so program can be changed to suit requirements
at no extra cost.
- 1 year back to base warranty.
